Carson has been learning SOOO many new things lately. It seriously amazes me how quickly these little people are able to soak something up. I will mention something just a few times and all of a sudden Carson will be copying me. I didn't realize that at 14 months old, he would already be so smart. But I suppose with a mother like me...
The other day I was looking at someones blog and their little one was folding their arms and saying amen. We have always said prayers with Carson but I didn't ever make him fold his arms. Well I didn't want MY kid to be the dumb one, so the last few prayers we have said, I showed him how to fold his arms. Then tonight for dinner I said "Fold your arms Car!" and he did it. I about died. It was so funny to see him do it by himself, and after only a few times of showing him how. TOO CUTE!
Here is a list of other things that Carson has been doing lately. Feel free not to read these, this is mostly just so I can remember.
1. Finally saying da! and mamama! and knowing what they mean (this is only within the last few days.)
2. Animal sounds or actions that he now knows: lion, lizard, fish, dog, bunny, elephant, dinosaur, bear (anything that growls)... and probably more but that's all I can think of right now.
3. Carson calls every animal he sees a DEE!! Or deer. and he gets super excited every time he gets to go in the garage and look at Gregs mounted "deer" heads (actually antelope heads).
4. Smelling every "flower" that he sees. Even in books. If he sees a flower he starts sniffing really hard and puts his nose up to it as close as he can get.
Luckily he hasn't learned the word NO yet, but he sure knows how to throw a full blown fit. If he ever doesn't get what he wants, which, lets face it, is often because the kid wants EVERYTHING, he throws his body down and rolls around on the floor until he finally calms down. He certainly has an opinion. Hopefully those tantrums will go away soon, but something tells me I have a few years to go.

How cute...folding his arms like a pro!
O.K Erin, I've decided that you are one of the cutest mom's I know. I seriously can't believe how much Carson does for being so little. I LOVED watching this clip. Thanks for the entertainment.
What does a lizard say?
