Greg, Erin, Car and Quincey

Now that Carson is a deep enough sleeper at night,  I sometimes dare to try and catch his funny positions.  This is what I found the other night.

A few days ago I decided to give Carson his first big boy haircut with clippers.  Up until now I have just used my fingers.  I was really surprised but he just sat there happily and quietly the whole time.  I didn't even have to bribe him.  Although I did reward him for being so good.  He loved the monster cape,  and the buzzing clippers.  And he especially thought the spray of water was cool.

For some reason though,  he did not think my camera was so cool.

Our interchange:

Me:  Carson look at mommy and smile!

Carson:  Immediately looks away and stares straight ahead of him

Me:  Carson look at mommy!

Carson:  Covers his eyes with his hands

This went on for a few minutes until I just gave up.

AFTER HAIRCUT

Me:  Carson, show me your new big boy haircut!

Carson:  covers his eyes.

He did do me the favor of finally looking in my direction and covering his eyes though.  Thanks bud.

Note how he is sitting.  That is always how he is perched.  He sat that way the entire haircut.

THE REWARD

(A whole wheat, sugarless fig newton.  I was feeling nice that day!  haha :) )

Me:  Carson show me your yummy treat

Carson:  Covers his eyes

Me:  Come on car,  show me your nummy treat!

Carson:  uncovers one eye, and gives a weird look with the other.

That's my boy.
