Car turned TWO on monday.
He's old.
I spent all day telling him it was his birthday and hyping it up, but I'm pretty sure he didn't understand a thing that was coming out of my mouth. But hey, he wasn't going to complain. He got balloons, a rocket cake, and presents. What more could a kid want?
:BALLOON FUN:

the ROCKET CAKE
I swore I would never make another fondant cake after last year...
But then I started feeling creative. It turned out to be much easier the second time around.
Carson was in love at first sight.

We blew out the candles a number of times. Turns out its really fun to do. After each time Car would say: more? more?

And then in true Carson style, before I could get it away, he dove on in for his first sugary bite.
Apparently the kid doesn't like to use his hands.

The damage

The family picture

Thanks for coming Gma, gpa, ggma, and J! We had a great time.
Gregs mom gave Carson a toy mixer that is a miniature version of my kitchen aid. Car was beside himself with excitement. He calls it his mommy mixer and has put it to excellent use all day.

Erin I can't believe that cake...you really made it!?!?! You could go into business with those kind of skills!
Happy bday little man. Your last post I was thinking that C was so grown up. He went from baby to little man over night!
That cake is absolutely amazing. My daughter loves the Little Einsteins... perhaps I'll have to commission one when she turns two next year :)
Happy Birthday Carson!!! You are so creative, That cake is soooo cool! Tommy would have been in heaven... Since he is still obsessed with Einsteins as well. How did you get it the characters to look so perfect??
Who are you?! You actually created that fabulous cake? I'm amazed!
It looks like Carson had such a great birthday! I love the shots of him with his birthday balloons.

Hey it's Angie Harding from NYC...remember me? I read your blog often but I'm not a commenter. I love seeing pictures of your growing family and adore your photography talent. How did you do the layouts for this post - curved edges, the size of the pictures in the grid (3 across, 2 rows). I know how to to Photobucket.com and copy the html but I'm new at it so I haven't figured out many things. Anyway if you have time which I'm sure you don't I'd love to learn (amharding76@hotmail.com). Love the blog.
