Well, after being inspired by my friend Melissa, I decided to be super crazy and try to make BAKERELLA'S famous cupcake pops for a baby shower I was helping put together.
While they aren't nearly as pretty as Bakerella's, or Melissas for that matter, I was pretty proud of myself for the feat. They turned out pretty darn cute.

I broke down and decided to give one to Carson so I could get some pictures.

Uh, do you think he was excited?
He kept saying, "More treat? More treat?" ALL DAY LONG. Oops. All in the name of the picture. I think I need help. :)
Too bad he still has that scab under his nosey...
A few hours later I found him like this:
What are you doing kid?
Apparently I didn't clean the counter well enough. He found a little bit of chocolate and he went to town cleaning it up for me. How thoughtful.

Carson stories for the Grandparents
The other day we were in the pet store looking at all of the animals. It was time to go so we were saying goodbye to all the animals. He was saying, "Bye doggies, bye fishies, bye birdies", and then he turned to the hamsters, waved, and said, "Bye this!"
Greg watched the kids last night while I ran some errands to get ready for the shower tonight. He said that car got a poopy diaper and his bum was a little sore. So while he was changing it Car started crying and said, "Bum hurt, daddy kiss it?" Daddy of course said no to that one, so Car started crying harder and said, "Daddy yes, kiss bum. Kiss bum daddy!"
Car was playing with the tripod today. He kept saying "Mommy go here! Mommy go here!" and pointing in front of the tripod. I couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Finally I did what he said. Then he leaned down and put his eye up to the tripod and said, "Take picture Mommy." I have no idea where he came up with that. I never use the tripod. Smart kid. Maybe he saw daddy using it the other day...?
Quin is a stinker lately. Insists on being held 24-7. If we ever put her down she cries and cries and cries. Won't stop. I don't know what to do. I can't hold her constantly. The other day I was holding her above my face and I gave her a kiss, and just as I did it she threw up right in my mouth. SICK.
That's all I can think of. Night.

Licking the counter? Seriously?! Did you make him do it twice, or did you really catch it? How funny! Your cupcake pops are truly impressive. I have absolutely zero talent in the baking department and just can't imagine ever creating such a thing. But yours are BEAUTIFUL. And make for super cute photos.
PS - do you do your rounded edges in photoshop? I love them.
erin, those suckers are BEAUTIFUL! great job!! and they made for some DARLING pictures. good going. all in the name of a picture--it's totally worth it! you'll thank yourself in 20 years looking back on those great shots.
Are you kidding! They are gorgeous, Erin! And so fun in the galvanized buckets. I love the face he is making in the row of photos...yes they are just THAT sweet! Hope everyone is feeling better sround there!
Kathryn-
He did it lots of times so I just got one of the last licks. :)
I have no real baking talent either, thats why I was so proud. They really are pretty easy, they just take a LONG time. Probably wont be doing that again for a while!
I do do the edges in photoshop although I know you can do it in photobucket as well...
Melissa-
we are BETTER! You wanna hang out tomorrow still?
so...I can't really see what is making those cupcake sucker things stay propped up...but I'm sure that whatever you used was just amazing.
That Car is sure a silly one! I told Joey the pet store (and others) story and he laughed too. SO FUNNY. bye bye this! hahaha
Great job! Your photography is beautiful, too. Thanks so much for sharing these pics. I love them. And your little ones are the cutest.
