So our trip started with a little stop in Utah for Easter weekend. When we first planned everything, we only planned on staying for the weekend, but my family is sneaky, and they tricked me into going to Vegas with them for a week. Well, one thing led to another, and instead of flying home alone with the kids afterwards, I opted to stay another week in SLC so I could fly down to Mexico with the help of Greg, since his cousin was getting married the day before we were scheduled to leave... Thus the three and a half week excursion. Did that make sense? Ah, never mind. It doesn't matter anyway...
Easter was not a good day for pictures. In case you are wondering, my kids do sometimes smile. Though it seems they are always crying on the blog!
It was a busy day with little time, so the only second I had to snap anything was right after naps (hence the rooster hair, I forgot to comb it. Had to do the ole spit in the hand routine right before I snapped a few and it obviously didn't work out very well). They weren't having it. Plus Carson would NOT give up the phone that Quin got in her basket. Oh well, its purple right? Thats easterish... sorta..

I decided at the last minute to make some baskets and eggs out of fabric. What a fine idea you might think. Not so. Carson loved them but I did not. They would not stand up for the life of me. I had to stick something heavy in the back of each of them just so they wouldn't flop over... Carson is still playing with them though so I suppose it wasn't a total loss. And it did make me feel very domestic. I think my mother was shocked. :)

Lets talk about filling an Easter basket for a minute. Oh my goodness. I think I spent at least 2 hours at walmart trying to find ANYTHING to put in these suckers. It hard without any candy! Lots of books and a few dinky toys went in and I called it good. They seemed to like it.

And they promptly stole each others toys. Remember the phone?

The egg hunt was classic. The picture on the right depicts the chaos pretty perfectly.

i love the easter baskets, floppy or not. those are CUTE! and so are the crying after-nap-don't-want-to-be-photographed- faces, too. i don't mind crying shots...they depict everyday life of a mommy, right?
i'm glad you're back to blogging. i've missed your great photos and cute little stories.
Darling.
Carson's shoes are SO CUTE. Seriously. I love them. I sort of love old man (or at least very "adult") clothes on little boys.
i love the baskets! i think they're great little totes.
thanks for your congrats! and next time you're playing heavy-heavy-hangover at a birthday part ask the wisher to wish you a non-sick pregnancy. i'm wishing it for you too! i do realize i'm very lucky.
and zara, it really varies on the price. all of my favorite things were $89 at least. always how it goes right?
