Wow everyone, Thanks for the concern with Quin. It really wasn't quite as bad as it sounded. She wasn't sick from eating poo, luckily. I just wrote that because I thought it would be funny since she had eaten Cars poo a few days earlier... I guess it wasn't... oops. I need to learn not to put inside jokes with myself on the blog. haha. They don't come across very well. And it turns out that Quin and Car look a lot alike because lots of you thought it was Car that I was holding in the pictures at the hospital.. Too funny. I don't see it, but I guess it is true! :)

Anyhow... the real story is as follows:

Quin had a fever for a day or so. I wasn't really worried about it, but I thought I would take her in to the doc to make sure it wasn't an ear infection or something. When I took her in, the pediatrician got really worried because she couldn't find any symptoms beside the fever. Plus, Quin was really lethargic and hardly moving or responding to anything. She told us to go to the ER to make sure that it wasn't anything serious. I really didn't want to take her in because I didn't think it was anything more than a fever, but what do you do? Your doctor is freaking out and telling you to go... you kinda have to go... So off to the ER we went. The doctors at the ER were equally as worried. They took blood and urine tests. Poor baby had to have a catheter and an IV. YUCK. Plus the nurse couldn't find her vein so she was fishing around in her hand for a few minutes. Quin was not a happy camper. When the tests all came back negative the doctors still didn't want to send her home, and they wanted us to do a spinal tap to check her spinal fluid. I didn't feel good about that, but once again, what do you say when a doctor is visibly nervous, and strongly advising the test?? Luckily Quin had a little bit of Tylenol and that perked her up just a bit, so after 5 hours in the ER, they finally let us go home. We dodged the spinal tap bullet. PHEW! Quin continued on with her fever, and while I didn't think it was anything serious, I was nervous the whole next day just because of the doctors reaction to everything. Finally on Saturday morning, Quin woke up with her fever gone. The only thing left to remind us of the stressful few days is her poor bruised little hand.

The rest of the weekend was luckily good. We went to the first baseball game of the year, and had great seats, thanks to some friends who so generously let us use them from time to time.

Carson was crazy for the hot dogs... Today after he was done with breakfast, instead of saying, "done, mommy, out" like he normally does, he said "go besbol game today mommy. k?"

And the outtake....

On sunday we had dinner with Gregs family. We took a walk down to the water to look at all the beautiful scenery...

There was this monster eagle in one of the trees. I don't have a telephoto lens, so you can't see it very well, but it was HUGE. This is one of my favorite things about washington. The beautiful birds and scenery in the summer time. It is always just lovely.

And, Gregs mom gave me these lovely lilacs out of her garden. Lilacs are one of my favorites so I was very grateful!

I also played a piano solo in sacrament meeting yesterday. I'm sooo glad to have it over. That was random I know, I just remembered that I forgot to write about it and I am too lazy to fit it in eloquently, so there you have it...

Happy Monday! Hopefully it is a more relaxing week than the last.

p.s. Our car is in the shop because the radio and navigation systems are broken. I just got a call from Greg telling me the reason... You ready for this? Apparently there was 2 or 3 dollars in change in the air conditioning vents that shorted the system out.... So that is what you have been doing in there when you play huh Carson? You just cost your mommy and daddy a pretty penny. Lesson learned.

Um, oops. That would be me. They DO look a lot alike. With a quick glance. I guess I didn't REALLY look. I feel silly. Very silly.

These are some of my very favorite photos. The baseball ones, especially. I'm a bad Washingtonian (word?) and have never, ever been to a Mariners game. Sad, I think.

Lilacs make me think of Spokane in the spring. Pretty.
