Lots of people ask me "What exactly DO you feed your kids?"
The answer is, LOTS of things. It is a little more work, but if you put your mind to it, it really isn't THAT hard to feed them well. (Unless they are in Nursery, or at Grandma and Grandpas house.... then you can just forget about the whole thing! :) )
Yesterday I made some yummy homemade granola, and they were in HEAVEN. This morning for breakfast, I didn't hear ONE peep. Except for when they wanted more of course. And that is not a usual occurrence... usually they make LOTS of peeps!

We like to eat it as cereal too.
With a bunch of fresh/frozen strawberries, and a little milk, this stuff couldn't be better.

The Recipe:
6 Cups rolled oats (I use 8)
1/2 Cup Wheat Germ
2 Cups Unsweetened Coconut
1/4 Cup Sesame Seeds
1/2 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1 Cup Nuts of your choice (I use crushed raw almonds)
Mix together
Add:
1 Cup oil (I prefer grape seed or olive, but I'm sure the original recipe calls for vegetable)
1 Cup Honey
1 tsp Almond Extract
2 TBLSP Vanilla (What the heck is the abbreviation for Tablespoon for crying out loud! I can't figure it out! haha)
Spread on Cookie Sheet and bake for 15 min at 300 degrees
Take out and stir
Cook another 15 min
Add 1 cup raisins/cranberries
Cook 5 more minutes
Let cool and enjoy...

Another one of our recent favorites is french toast.
If you make it with whole wheat bread, and instead of sugary syrup, use a little Agave Nectar + fresh/frozen berries, it is pretty decent for you.
Car likes the Ghost shaped ones best. He is a Halloween Fanatic after all...
P.S. didn't get around to cutting Quins mullet... I forgot to remember (yes that is proper! haha) that my arm still doesn't work.. Maybe in a few weeks.

Oh how I miss French toast! We haven't made it since maddie was diagnosed with egg allergies!
Tablespoon is TBS!
Homemade granola....wow. And here I thought I did well when I cooked up some eggs! breakfast is not a winning meal in our home with T. But usually eggs or fruit will keep her happy.
I love how you quit blogging, but now you're blogging like a madwoman! :)
