Wow a guest post from G. Long time since that has happened. He watched the kiddos for me last weekend while I went to Las Vegas with my mom (first outing sans kids and husband ever). We had a fabulous time shopping and also made it to my cousins wedding which was nice. I was sick the whole time, but I tried not to let it stop me! :)

Sadly the week leading up to Vegas was NOT great. The kids were sick, and on Wednesday Quin tripped on our tile flour and hit mouth first. She knocked her top four front teeth loose, pushing one of them way back, and chipped one of her bottom teeth in half. It was pretty much one of the worst mommy moments ever. It was 5:30 so the dentist offices were closed and I had no idea what to do. I was advised by the nurse at one dentist office to leave her and take her in in the morning which I did. Unfortunately when I took her to the pediatric dentist the next day, he told me that I should have called them, and brought her in immediately. Since I waited, he could no long move the teeth back into position... Bummer. Now we just get to wait it out and see if they die. They told us it was a 50/50 chance. SERIOUSLY? My child might be without her four front teeth until she is SEVEN. I don't know what Quins deal is, but this is probably her 15th bloody mouth incident (not to mention she bit through her lip once). Carson has NEVER had something like this happen. Either the girl just doesn't know how to fall, or she has really sharp teeth, or somethin'. It has taken almost a week for her teeth to not hurt, and slowly the gums swelling is going down. One good thing is she hasn't been able to suck on her Binky, although that made the sleeping pretty difficult for a few days.

Looking at these pictures I feel pretty fortunate that they look as good as they do. Now I just cross my fingers and hope the teeth survive...

While I was taking pics of Quins mouth, Car jumped in and started acting goofy. If you want these kids to laugh, all you have to say is one word like "poop", or "slime" and they think its the funniest thing they have ever heard.

We are on two kicks at our house lately. Tattoos, and ballerinas. Carson always begs to have ballerina shoes like quin. Luckily Quin has one pair that is a size to big... (Their feet are almost the same size. Quins feet grow SO fast)

Quincey is totally into dancing, singing and performing. Whenever she hears music, she starts dancing and says "dance every guys!" Pretty much the cutest thing ever. Ages two and three are officially some of my favorite.

so so sorry about Quincey's teeth! I hope they survive, poor girl. even if she's toothless, she'd still be cute. :)

Hey Erin, I work at a ped dentist in South Jordan...FYI, IF her teeth do die, the dentist can make a little retainer of sorts with little fake teeth that they glue in. It look pretty normal until she gets older and other kids start loosing their teeth too. :)

How did we not talk about the teeth incident when I was over! Such a traumatic incident but she does look like she fared very well.

can totaly relate. my 3 year old was shoved off the top bunk by a pal & lost his 2 top teeth. I cried like a baby. I look at pictures when his smile was full of pearly whites & sigh. But th egood news is...kids are cute...even when they are toothless for years:) Quin is absolutly NO exception! shes a doll!! Im sorry taht happened to her...& YOU!

oh & PS: we played with the idea of false teeth, but opted not to. Something about trying to convince Britton to keep them in seemed unreasonable. haha. but it is an option if the teeth do die.
