Greg, Erin, Car and Quincey

I can't believe the 4th has come and gone already! Seriously, Carson starts preschool in a month, but I feel like summer hasn't even started yet. Italy sort of did me in, and it has taken a week or two to recover...
The 4th was fun, but VERY low key. We didn't make it to the parade, or go to see any big fireworks shows, but we did barbecue, and dress in our red white and blue.

As per usual, we swam and ate at my parents. The kids have been swimming almost every day this summer and are getting good. After the swim fest, Grandpa decided to have a huge water fight with all the kids. Carson surprisingly didn't want to be involved this time around, but Quin was all over it...



Such determination... :)





After all the water fun, and a delicious dinner, we headed out to do some fireworks of our own.

Carson for some reason had like 5 balloons stuck under his shirt... They LOVED the fireworks this year.




Carson was a HUGE pyro. He loved the sparklers and kept asking for more. Then he would light whatever he could find on fire with it.





I think I am being paid back for all my snide remarks about seattles rainy holidays. It seems like every holiday since we have lived here it has rained, and the fourth was no different. It started POURING while we were doing our big fireworks display...

Quin grabbed the umbrella and started singing, "singing in the rain, singing in the rain"...



and then we went home to get dry...
