This is typical Quincey as of the last few months...
If we are home, her hair is usually a wreck, with one of her (my) headbands askew, along with a beautiful mismatched skirt/shirt/dress combo to go with. She is always so proud of her look, and usually changes it 3 or 4 times a day. Since it is getting colder, it is usually a pain to get her dressed to leave the house because she insists on dresses and skirts. Guess I need a WHOLE lotta tights.
The particular headband she has on in this picture was acquired last week at the store. She had been woken up from falling asleep in the car and was really upset about waking up, so she was throwing a tantrum. I kept asking her how I could cheer her up, and she kept ignoring me. Finally after about a half hour, we got to this particular store and she spotted the headband. She said "MOM, I know what would cheer me up! SPARKLES!!!!!" Uh seriously? Could you get any more girly and obviously spoiled? I don't think I cared what I was wearing until seventh grade! Lets not talk about how I failed the mommy test and caved to buy it...
She is also really into spotting and drawing Q's. She was SO excited to show me this one she drew on the chalk board. It's fun how much they start to learn once they start school. (ragmuffin hair once again)
On another note, yesterday we built our haunted gingerbread house. The kids LOVE doing these, probably because they get to eat all the treats, so we do them for every holiday possible. Check out Quin in this picture. Not even smiling, clearly sneaking treats as if I am not looking at her or noticing. This girl is incorrigible when it comes to sugar. Always sneaking and scheming to get it. Just today during her school Halloween program, during the middle of a song, she held up some treat in her hand (don't ask why she had that), and yelled at me "look mom, I got a treat!"
