Yesterday was a busy day.
We decided it was high time to try and deal with our landscaping, and fill in some of the holes that have occurred due to sickly bushes.
So off to costco we went, and then Greg planted for about 5 hours.

After naps, we helped daddy.

Quin laid in the grass and drank her bottle for a long time. She just kept laying there. Even after her bubby was gone.

Then Carson found a worm. (Greg put it on top of the dirt for him)

And so begins the chronicles of a boy and his worm.

After much excitement and pointing, he mustered the courage to actually pick it up.

And then of course he did the obligatory drag it up your arm routine...

And then he experienced the sheer amazement that comes from witnessing it's unreal stretching ability.

Classic.

I think he was even more excited because he has been watching a curious george episode about worms lately.

When I turned around from the worm adventures I discovered that Quincey had gotten up from her laze, and had helped herself to a handful (or two) of dirt....

Lovely.

And boy was she happy about it.
The nervous face in the picture is anticipation of Carson taking her beloved dirt away...

Who knew she was such a dirt monkey?

Apparently nobody informed her that you should NOT dig in dirt with your well manicured tootsies.... VERY un ladylike.

She ended up quite a mess. But was very pleased with herself. How can i argue with a face like that? (That last picture is her excited face. Well the tail end of it. She pulls her upper lip down so only her bottom teeth are showing and smiles.. So cute.)

On an unrelated note. Here are a few recent Carson moments.

1. Today in Nursery Carson apparently went into the toy closet as they were putting the toys away, and somehow hid so the teacher didn't see him. She turned out the lights and shut the door. After a few minutes they heard crying and knocking on the door. Car was pretty sad about it. Greg said he went in to pick him up and Carson was hugging some lady with snot all over him and her. He kept talking about a bear...

2. The other day i tried to give car a nap at Grandmas house. It didn't work. BUT, he did lay in his crib for two hours. When we went to get him, Andrea asked him what he did in there. He said "I played with bunnies ears." He loves his bun. Often times when we are at home, he will all of a sudden yell out "mun! Where are you mun?!" and run around frantically until he finds him.

3. Whenever Carson doesn't want to do something (like eat blueberries), he says, "I can't like that." I say, Carson do you want to eat a blueberry? He says, No, I can't like that right now.

4. Whenever he walks into a room, he says "here's me! Here's me mom, here's Carson!"

5. Instead of saying "something else", it comes out, "something melse"

6. This morning Quin climbed up on the dishwasher and Carson ran over and said, "Quin you climb up there? You stinker..."

7. skunk is pronounced stunk

oh wow i'm quite jealous of your beautiful yard!! and the GREEN grass? where you live must be way different from our area out here. everyone's yards and grass are dead. they don't water in the summer and just let it get green again in the fall/winter months when it starts to rain i guess. :) i was told that's how everyone does it in seattle? guess not.. the one downside to living in a rental house is the yard. no one takes care of it. i guess the previous tenants thought it was a good idea to park their car on our grass, so now we have dirt where grass should have been. oh, the joys. and on saturday, i'm pretty sure dan spent about over an hour just spraying the dandelions in our yard.

so, when we're sick of our ghetto yard we'll come crash on your seemingly beautiful one! LOL.

i just LOVE the pics of Carson with the worms. awesome.

Those worm pics are the best. Isn't it fun to see the world through a 2 year old's eyes? Everything is just downright AMAZING. :)

I love the pictures of Carson with the worm. They are so classic.

Ajay and I were talking last night how incredibly talented you are.

We are doing well here in Tampa. Ajay really likes his firm, even though they are super busy for the next month. We are recovering from the shock of suburbia after the city, but I must say driving a car is very very nice!

It's great to keep up with you!
