Well Kelley, you better be happy! This post is for you. Since you are MAKING me do it and all. :)

Truth is I just haven't felt like blogging much.
G and I have been super super busy lately with some unexpected projects, plus I haven't really felt like taking or editing pictures, plus I'm just sick of blogging period. But, since my sister has been bugging me, here it is anyway... :) Love ya kell!

Last weekend was our trip to Vancouver. Sans kids.

Oh my word. It was so fun. Seriously? I forgot what it was like to be with just your hubby for two whole days. It's fun!

We dropped the kiddos off at g's parents place, and Carson wasted no time getting into things.

These are his "steps".

After a nervous goodbye from me (the kids were so happy to be at gamma and gampas), we hit the road.

We were greeted upon arrival with this A-mazing view from our room. How pretty is that? Nothing like the waterfront I tell you! Sea planes flew in and out, boats meandered by, it was just beautiful.

(Those islands with trees in the distance are Stanley park.)

The weather was absolutely perfect the entire time we were there. Not too hot, not too cold. Just perfect.

After a lazy morning of eating and shopping on Saturday, we headed out to rent bikes for a leisurely ride around Stanley park. The trail took us along the waterfront around the whole island. It was so awesome. I couldn't get over how crystal clear and clean the water was.

Last time we were in Vancouver we drove over this bridge. It was fun to ride under it this time instead.

Even though it was nice to be away from the kids, I missed them like crazy. Everything reminded me of them. I took this picture of the sea planes for Car because I knew he would love it.

Us after our bike ride, feeling a little bow legged and saddle sore.

That night we had reservations at a fancy little Italian restaurant in town. We were so hungry that we went a little early. It was great because they sat us on the balcony and we could overlook all the people shopping below.

The next morning we left. But we had to run back to H and M to look at one thing (I know! We broke the Sabbath! I still feel bad about it). It didn't open until 11 so we were a little early. There was a crowd of people waiting outside. So we took dorky pictures to burn the time.

The end.

Looks like so much fun! I love Vancouver...even though our tour with Mike's grandparents was a little hilarious. It kinda went like "and here is Stanley park where we would go for a bike ride if we had more time..." Seriously. Someday we'll go back? I'm glad you got away though- nothing like it to make you love your kids whole heartedly again!

I have your Nike's. I really do.

Vancouver looks ridiculously beautiful. We need a weekend escape.

I want to know how you get such perfect sun flare. So pretty.

i do love your blog erin. and i'm with you on being over blogging lately...my mom threatened me about stopping right before the baby, but i'm conflicted. which makes it even more silly because then i 'think' about blogging. hmmph.

How fun! I absolutely LOVE Vancouver and Stanley Park/English Beach are the B-est! And what a treat to have a little "alone" time. Next time you go (and especially if the kiddos go with you at some point) you should check out the Aquarium in the middle of the park - it's WAY better than ours here in Seattle - they've got Beluga Whales and Dolphin shows - those melon heads are just so cute ;)
