Random Happenings...
So for the past month or two, whenever Quin gets up from her nap, she sits and points at her closet until I take her there. I thought it was her woody hat that she always wanted, but after a while she stopped taking that, and continued begging for something else. I finally figured out yesterday, that what she really wanted was the woody COSTUME. Not only did she want to hold it, but she wanted to put it on...
Apparently she thinks it is normal to dress in costume on a daily basis. Thanks Carson.
She has always been obsessed with woody. Not sure how she knows who he is, but she constantly goes to our toy cupboard and brings me all the woody toys. I guess that fix just wasn't good enough anymore. She spent the morning playing in woody, and with woody. What more could a girl want?

I thought after naps, the phase would be over. NOPE. She wanted it back on after naps. And again this morning. We are now infested with characters from toy story at our house. Maybe Greg and I should join the fun..

While quin was napping yesterday, car and I wrapped daddies presents from Carson and Quin. He loved it. Any excuse to use scissors and tape right?

Last night I had plans to make a ginger bread house for family night, but somehow Carson discovered the box, and kept telling me he wanted to make it. I told him we should wait for daddy, but he wasn't thinking that was a good idea. SO, with bad weather, and nowhere to go, I caved...
He could hardly believe his eyes when he started seeing all the candy coming out of the box...
He was pretty good for a few minutes, and decorated with me..
But then I started seeing him duck behind the house and try to secretly put pieces in his mouth. It actually all started with a lick of frosting, then a lick of candy, and then he finally just went for the whole thing...
He kept getting more and more brave. To the point of maiming the poor gingerbread man in plain sight..
But I knew it was time to end the party when he lost all control, and just started licking the house...
Not to mention the fact that woody was trying to escape from her chair...
Carson was pretty upset when I took the rest of the treats and threw them away. He kept trying to get back up to the house for a few more licks...

After work we went and did a few Christmasy things with daddy for FHE.
First we went to a botanical garden in the area. They arrange all their lights so they look like plants and animals.
Carson really liked trying to spot all the hidden animals. He saw an alligator and exclaimed, "look dad, there's a christmas aldergater!"
After walking around for a while, I wanted to take a picture with the three of them. Carson was NOT wanting to join in the fun. Finally I said, "Carson, just look at me real quick and then you can go look at the lights." He turned towards me, opened his eyes REAL BIG, and held it.
Good boy. :)
After the gardens, we decided to try our luck at the snowflake show again. Remember the lost pictures? As luck would have it, I hardly got any more. It was so cold, and blustering wind. We about died.
As soon as we got there carson said "I want candy" because he remembered that they hand out candy. Then he said "and mommy will throw it in the garbage." hmmmm. I guess I'm not so sneaky after all...
After the show Quin wanted to run around the mall. She would not stop. I love this little blurry picture of her...

This morning when we walked in the kitchen, Car went straight for the gingerbread house and started licking...
When I took it away from him, he pulled out his T-rex fingers, and started growling at me. ("only two fingers mommy") This is one of two responses I get when he is angry at me. The other is him holding out his arm, and shooting me with his "laser" like buzz lightyear.

Oh my gosh, where do I start??
Love these little snapshots of your days.
Can't believe how much your kids look alike. I love it.
Love the Carson actually licks the gingerbread house. That's a totally rockstar move.
And it looks cold!!! It's freezing here, too. Brr.
Hope you guys have a very happy Christmas. :)

T-rex fingers? Carson is awesome.
I'm in love with yet another of Quin's knit hats.
