Greg, Erin, Car and Quincey

Today was seriously the best day.

Greg somehow had off of work, so we spent the day playing and doing fabulously Christmasy things. I can't even tell you how much I loved it. Totally made up for the busy Thanksgiving work schedule. Hopefully next week will follow suit...

First we decided to take the kiddos to a reindeer festival.



They got to write letters to Santa, at santas post office.

Cars list:

toy crab
fire station
chopper

hopefully Santa can get that accomplished! We have a lot of pressure since he keeps telling me to take down the Christmas decorations and put up the Halloween ones again...

(toy crab was on the list because this morning Greg happened to flip to the crab hunters show (deadliest catch) on TV. Car opted to keep watching instead of turning to the cartoons... And of course, then he had to have a toy crab. Naturally.)

He got his face painted by an elf. And sat surprisingly still...



And then we went to see santa's reindeer.



Quin kept pretending to be really interested,



But it ended in tears every time. She really liked looking at all the animals at the zoo, but didn't want to get close.



Then we went to see Santa, but both kids were afraid of him this time. So no sitting on his lap. Santa asked Carson what he wanted from across the room, and car quickly responded, "firetruck n chopper" under his breath... I think he was too nervous to get the crab part out...

We finished by looking at the other animals around the zoo....




Tonight after naps we went to this cool snowflake lights show. I had TONS of pictures that I couldn't wait to download. BUT, I accidentally ERASED them, when I got into the car. I about cried. If I was a crying sort of person, I would have shed a tear. Maybe more upsetting to me than it should have been, but I was/am still really, really sad.

Greg promised that we could go back and see it again, but we will see if it happens.... Oh well.
