Mexico was SO fun.

We are all having sort of a blue week trying to readjust to normal life.

Carson keeps saying "I want to go back to Mexico mommy. Lets go swimming."

But alas, not going back any time soon.

We pretty much spent 24/7 in the pool or at the beach. The kids loved every second.

Caron learned to snorkel, and even asked to try without his floaties one day. I think by this summer he will know how to swim. YAY! He has never liked getting his face wet because he doesn't like water in his eyes or nose. But with the mask, he was a little fish. Problem solved.

Quin was a total water daredevil from the beginning. Jumping in and getting her face wet right away. She liked to lick the water and spit it out, and within a few minutes of the first day she was swimming on her own (with floaties, without mom holding her). This was her first time in the water with floaties and actually swimming. She LOVED it.

We spent the first few days just at the pool, and then we hit the beach.

Both kids were ok with the sand this time. Quin wasted no time eating it, and car liked making sand castles.

How cute is G helping his little girlie navigate the waves...

I totally forgot about Cars birthday until the day was half over. We were swimming and all of a sudden it hit me. "Hey, wait a second! Carson! It's your birthday today!" The other moms looked at me as if I were crazy...

I let the kids celebrate by having a small bowl of chocolate ice cream. I don't think they have ever had it before, but as you can tell, it was a hit.

Carson called himself a "screw da dryber" the whole trip. Look at his awesome face when he is wearing the mask. I love the pig nose and up turned lip..

It was pure comedy watching him try to walk in his flippers..

There were some tide pools that had a baby sting ray in them one day. Car touched it and thought he was pretty cool. "but not the tail!" It was so tiny. Then he found a few treasures in the sand...

He was also strangely obsessed with finding coral and burying it in the sand (it was abundant)...

The dinglehopper made it home with us and is still in Cars backpack. He combs his hair with it daily. Mine too.

We spent lots of time hanging out at the house with G's family.

Quin has such a crush on Grandpa...
(don't worry, he isn't licking her, just playing the "steal the binky" game)

She would get really jealous if he would hold Olivia, and just now when she saw this picture, she freaked out, pointed, and started yelling.. Too funny.

These two kill me...

Quin eating...

She spent LOTS of time eating. As usual.

Every night when we would drag in, to shower, the kids would be glued to the computer watching a show. Fern Gully was Cars fave...

How spoiled are they??

I finally found out why my kids are monsters at restaurants. It's because I never give them the good stuff, just the healthy stuff I brought for them. I have never seen them so quiet eating as they were on this trip. Quesadillas and french fries apparently do the trick...

Quin got so spoiled by the end that she would scream every time she saw a food tray pass. She wanted her meal by the pool! She also got to be quite the expert at eating the cheese and leaving the tortilla...

The last day, Quin was sort of tired of swimming, so she walked around the pool deck like this for a good hour.

Then she got mad at something and threw a fit...

We took some family pictures the last night, but I don't have those back. This is one I took of Kevin and Whit though...

And of course the girls

(don't worry, I didn't accessorize my 19 month old with a necklace. We were trying to entertain her so she would smile. But instead she broke it.)

That's it for now. I have a few more that I can't upload yet, so maybe I will do another post later...

Great photos! Looks so beautiful there. Is Quin wearing that new Liberty of London from Target? That line is so cute! Thx for sharing.
