The other day at school, Carson had his very first show and tell. He has been looking forward to this day since the first day of school when his best friend Camryn got to do hers.
He was SO excited, that last week when I picked him up from school, he proudly showed me the box, and upon entering our house, instead of playing with Camryn (who was over), he quickly ran upstairs and downstairs and filled the thing with every item he owns. We had to narrow things down though because he was only allowed to bring 5 things. :)
His number one item that he wanted to show was his Bunny. He is still SO attached to that thing. He also brought his batman costume, his keys (?), a color changing hot wheel car, and his blue ninja turtle.
I was a nerd and had to go watch and take pictures. They did it at the end to accommodate me. His teacher told me when I got there, that Carson hadn't stopped talking about it the whole time he was at school.

Quincey has been so funny lately. Well I guess since the day she was born, but her personality just keeps getting better and better. She is so outgoing that she is notorious everywhere she goes. Random people at church (who I have never seen before) always come up to me and tell me all about her antics, and how she is their new best friend... She even talks about people in the neighborhood, by name, who I have never met before. Every Sunday after church, or if she needs help with the toilet, she barges into Young Womans, yells "hi!" to me, and then says "Are these all your friends mom?!" And then she excitedly talks to them all. Last night the Girls all came to my house for an activity. Quincey was SO excited about the "party" and couldn't stop talking about it. The first girl to arrive was a girl Quincey had never met before, but Quin was so ecstatic that she just couldn't help herself from running up and hugging the girls legs. The whole night she hung out with us and socialized. She showed all the girls her little play house, and when we watched the slide show from camp, Quincey was sitting in the middle of the couch, surrounded by everyone. She definitely has more of Greg in her because I am totally shy. This morning at breakfast Quin said "mom, for my next birthday party (she can never stop talking about her birthday parties) I want all of the young woman to come. Ok mom?!" ummm, ok Quin. I will work on that one...
We had a chocolate fountain for desert, but unfortunately for Quin, she was banned from treats for the day because she had not stayed in her bed the night before (I even had to change it back into a crib), and had kept me up half the night. While the girls were watching the movie, Quincey kept hovering around the treat table and saying "go away mom, go away dad!" She told me later that she had already snuck two marshmallows, and she was quite proud of herself. Little stinker...

I guess since I am writing about all these stories, I better write a few more before I forget them. Mostly boring stuff that probably doesn't need to be read because it only matters to me...
A while back Greg lost his keys (i think). He looked for seriously like two days and couldn't find them anywhere. Finally I got sick of hearing about it. It was a Sunday and we had just gotten home from church so I told Carson that we should all say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father to help us find Daddies keys. Carson was really excited, so we said a family prayer. As soon as the prayer was over, Carson jumps up and yells "he said he would help us!" Luckily within 5 minutes, we did find the keys. Guess Carson heard correctly. :)
Another night not too long ago, Carson kept coming down from his room telling me he was scared. I was sick, and tired, and didn't want to deal with him at the moment, so I told him we would say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father to help him not be afraid. He agreed and we said a prayer. Then I made him go back upstairs. He came back 5 minutes later and said, "mom, Heavenly Father isn't talking to me. He isn't upstairs." I tried not to laugh. So I had to explain that Heavenly Father doesn't come to us, he just makes us feel happy inside. He wasn't really buying it. Finally he did go upstairs and go to sleep. But when I asked him later about it, he told me that Heavenly Father never talked to him. lol. Oh well, you win some and you lose some I guess. :) The prayer thing has been rubbing off though I suppose, because the other day we were all downstairs cleaning the basement up, and Carson randomly blurts out "Guys, we are SO Lucky! Lets say a prayer and thank Heavenly Father for all our stuff." and then he did. i think he said something like "Heavenly Father, Thanks for all our stuff, Amen." Short and Sweet. Just the way I like it.
Both the kids pray for some awesome stuff though, Carson likes to bless the men in the trucks, and NOT bless the spiders. Quin just sort of says what she hears Carson say. I better record one one of these days because they are so funny. I usually can't keep from laughing...
