Lately...
I'm pretty sure I have left the world of blogging. But it makes me sad because I have no good record of what has happened the last seven months. Bummer. So, here is an attempt at a few little snippits.
The big girl bed is going well. Quin has been really good about staying in, because she does NOT want to be moved back into a crib. If she ever gets out of line, I just have to remind her of the crib, and she turns right back into a good girl. The first few nights though she would wake up saying, "I can't stay in my big girl bed mom!" I only caught her once though...

It has been SO nice having Greg working from home. Not only because I have been super sick and he has been EXTREMELY helpful, but because the kids love having him around. He is so good about playing with them, and they of course adore him.

Greg's family came into town a few weeks ago. It was so fun to spend LOTS of quality time, and let the kiddos get to know each other again. Olivia sure got brave around them, and started showing them who was boss! :) Not really, but she was no longer timid around them, and they all had so much fun. Thanks to Andrea for taking pictures, otherwise we would have no documentation. The following are all hers...
Planting in the garden. You can tell the dads were in charge because Quin is wearing a white dress to play in the mud. :)
Meal time with the three amigos.
Jammie Bubbles! Luckily the bubbles are sort of disguising quins homelessness. Who is her mother anyway!?
Fountains! The kids LOVED this. And we had the place to ourselves. Score.
Swimming time with Grandma and Grandpa. I was taking a nap...
I love this picture. The grandparents with their three grand babies. So cute.
Olivia is obsessed with sidewalk chalk, so she brought the joys to our house. The kids were very thankful! Their mommy was not. lol. jk. For some reason chalk just grosses me out. Sort of like newsprint. But it was worth it to have the kiddos happy.
We were so sad to see them go. COME BACK SOON!!!!

Quincey is such a girly, girly, girl. Seriously. She insists on makeup every day, curled hair, painted nails, princess dresses, the works. And she never stops singing, dancing, or talking like a princess. I have not encouraged the trend, but she somehow has come to the conclusion that that is what girls are like. She is always telling us that girls don't wear shorts, only skirts, and so on. She also has to dress herself every day, which often means she doesn't end up looking very cute. :) I mean pink is cute and all, but there is a limit!
The other day she came across my eighties colors Halloween eyeshadow. She was beside herself with joy, and sweetly asked if it could be hers. I of course couldn't say no, but it is a fight every day to limit the usage.
This is how it turns out... SOOOOO proud.
This is just a random picture of the kiddos that I took the other day. Can't believe that in only 7 weeks there will be another one...
And last but not least this weekend was so great. We spent the whole time together doing fun stuff. Greg even talked me into riding my bike up to the falls. After wards the kids had fun throwing rocks in the river. All fun and games until Quincey fell in and got all wet. Please enjoy her 18-24 month size shorts that she insisted on wearing. After refusing her a skirt or princess dress, I felt like I had used all of my refusal power, so teeny tiny shorts it was.
The End.

Erin! Don't go away forever, okay?
Your kids are looking so grown up. I'm dying! Quincey in her teensy shorts! Love.
