Last Saturday was really rainy and gloomy. Much like today. I had had Lasik a day before, so instead of going anywhere, we opted to stay in. While that seemed like a good choice at the time, 4 o'clock hit like a brink wall and the kids HAD to get out. Luckily G, being the good hubby that he is, grabbed them and whisked them into the garage. P.j's and all. I quickly told myself that the p.j's would certainly be ok in the dirty garage, and tried to relax a little. You know, for my eye and all. That only lasted a short time until I just had to go see if their jammies were ok.
This is what I found:

Greg is much more patient than I.
He decided to stick Carsons boots from last year on Quin, which was obviously hilarious. Somehow she was able to walk in them though... Little big foot.

Today has much of the same feeling. Rained in and stir crazy. That would be fine if first thing this morning Carson had not spilled apple juice on his buzz costume. But he did. And a twenty minute cry fest ensued.... Plus more crying every time we walked by the laundry room.
Last night at Target, the lady checking me out asked if his costume was his halloween costume, or his everyday getup. It has become very apparent that it is both.

And though Carson is obviously obsessed with his costume, he really hates the wings. So he tries to get all of us to wear them instead.
He says: "you want your wings on? ok. I will go get them." Then he chases us until we put them on.
Quincey is the only one who they really fit, so she ends up with them a lot. Car gets really excited about this and says "your buzz too quin!" and the two of them fly off together and giggle.

Nothin cuter than a superhero with a blanky and bink.
See that attitude in the right picture? Totally quin. What a bugger. :)
Sidenote: as I was writing this post, I got Carson out of bed from his nap. He was happily playing until he saw the picture of the costume. Then he had to have it on. Luckily it is dry now. Then we had the conversation about the wings. I am now wearing them. He is happy.

:You are so blessed to have such a cute little family.
I keep thinking I wish a costume would keep my kids occupied as well as it does Carson! But then it looks like you have your own battles to fight! Hope you're feeling better!
We're going to have to come up with some good rainy day activities so that we ALL don't go stir crazy! Playdate next week?!? We ended up just going to a close pumpkin patch today, so you didn't miss out on anything big.
