Well it finally happened.

Carson jumped out of his crib last night.

Honestly I can't believe that he hasn't done it before now. After all, he has been capable for over a year. (He jumped out once right around the time Quin was born, and landed on his head. Maybe he was too scared to do it again...) And he is quite the curious child...

I knew it was only a matter of time though because a few weeks ago in Utah, the same thing happened. I put him in the porta crib for a time out, and shut the door. He was really mad. Standing outside the door, I heard a thud, and then running foot steps. And then I heard an: "I'm opening the door now!" In a singsong chipper and proud voice. And just like that, there he was. Oh boy. I was scared. Luckily when I put him back in, and told him not to do it again. He obeyed.

Last night the same thing happened. When we put Car to bed he wasn't really in the mood. So he got out. I was down stairs with greg, I heard a thud, and then I heard the running. Oh the running. I couldn't control my giggle. G and I went to the bottom of the stairs, trying our darndest to keep strait faces, when low and behold, "HERE'S ME!!!" showed up. Then he giggled and smiled so proud. Greg had to walk away, and I just started busting up... How could you not? Luckily when I put him back in bed and told him to stay, he obeyed.

SO, today I turned his crib into a big boy bed. I tried to make it sound cool, and I told him NOT to get out. He obeyed.
Buzz is currently sleeping like a baby. phew!
... now I just hope he doesn't roll off.

In other random news:

Last night Carson decided it was super cool to jump off things (it has continued into today. See the picture above?). The fireplace was his destination of choice. For about a half an hour he jumped, and for about a half an hour I tried to catch him in the air... Very difficult with my phone. When I finally showed Greg my photo of triumph, he said: "Well at least you tired him out." True dat.

Random Utah STUFF

We went to hee haws with our best friends forever

We told Car and Cam to hold hands, and hold hands they did... They loved it.

Grandma and Grandpa had this mask at their house. Car was obsessed with it and insisted on wearing it and scaring everyone (the whole time we were there). He was afraid of it, but somehow if he held it, then it was ok. He even tried to sneak it to bed with him at night. I wasn't having that though. Too scary.

Do you think Quin is ready for a new car seat??

So do I.

Problem is, she only weighs like 19.4 lbs.. Oh well, the new seat came in the mail today. Hooray!

The End. That was long. Sorry
