Last week we went to seattle for about a week to visit. I didn't think I took that many pictures, but apparently I was wrong. Hello photo overload....
We drove the 14 hours it takes to get there, and let me tell you, it's not great when your prego. BUT, it went better than expected, so no complaining I guess! :)
G couldn't wait to get out on the boat but was very disappointed to find that we had no tube. But we made the best of it and went for a ride anyway. The kids of course had to drive.
Quin snuck in on the action too...
And this was the result. Hello pout. He's good at it. Real good.
Luckily being up front is fun too, so the pout didn't last super long.
Plus I went up and sat with him and took silly pictures. This kid was in Awe of the awesomeness of the bow.
need I say more?!
Quins latest thing is "mom?" Then I say "ya Quin", Then she says "hi". Happened probably 500 times on the ride up. Here she is making sure I'm there while shes driving.
We had great weather, but Quin still had her pants on in the boat. :)
Andrea and Livy. My favorite.
Livy was not having the camera though. No smiles.
Then Car decided he wanted to go in the water. He didn't even seem to notice it was -50 degrees. Not one complaint. Of course he had to wear his goggles though. He made it look so fun that Quin stripped down to her unders and jumped in too. She did not like the cold water. Screamed and immediately fought to get out.
She was much happier when she got her lipstick and sat next to gramma in her sweatshirt. (She is really into makeup right now which I have NOT encouraged. But she will sit and lipstick her lips for like a half and hour straight. Gramma let her put on a bunch of her makeup while we were there too, and its too bad I didn't get any of those pictures. Boy were they Lovelies. Got so bad that she wouldn't leave the house without putting grammas makeup on before hand...)
And a beautiful sunset on the beach...
We went to three mariners games while we were there. The kids were all about the treats.
The city where G's parents live was having a carnival one morning so we went and had fun for a few hours. I forgot to take many pictures.
This is the game where I almost got killed by a fly ball. This happened about 5 minutes after G swore to me that fly balls DO NOT come there. Uh WRONG. It landed approximately 1 foot from where I had been sitting. Luckily I had run and ducked for cover. I felt like a horrible mommy though afterward because I realized that I had just left Quin sitting in her seat. I didn't even try to block her! What was I thinking?
I love Quin in this picture. I do not however love my chub. No more horizontal stripes, and no more slouching.
We went to visit G's gramma while we were there to see her new place. I had to get a picture of the 4 generations.
After grandmas I got to fulfill a life long dream. We rented a canoe to sailed through the lily pads. LILY PADS!!!!! What could be better.
Carson rowed the entire time. I was not such a help. He also had fun trying to dunk the lily pads. Quin rowed for about half the time and then gave up to splash in the water.
They had this rock wall on the shore and Carson got half way up the wall before we knew what was happening. He was really mad when we made him come down. I didn't know how we would get him down if he went to the top though! Quin went right up it too.
I love this picture. Cuzies dancing away. This carousel is a favorite for all the kiddies.
Quin's birthday landed on the day that we drove to Seattle. Don't you worry though, we pretty much celebrated for a week straight. She still thinks more is coming because she keeps talking about her next party, the cinderella one. We already threw her a snow white one before we left, and grandma made her that yummy cake with ariel plates. Pretty sure she thinks that she gets to have one party for every princess. Not so little one. Not so. It was funny because they did fireworks on the lake one night and Grandma told Quin that they were for her birthday. Quin thought that that was pretty cool and felt VERY special.
She relishes attention and of course got so excited when we all sang her happy birthday and gave her presents. Gramma and Grampa gave her a darling princess book with their voices recorded in it, and a new ariel dress which she LOVED because it had a tail.
G talked me in to going to the museum of flight while we were there. I wasn't sure about it but the kids loved every second.
Quincey kept pulling us back into the astronaut section and didn't want to leave.
This is when I bribed my kids to smile...
This is what they did the rest of the time.
We finally got the tube behind the boat and all three kids were elated. Don't know why Car and Quin look sad in this picture because they were not.
Grins all around.
After the ride Quin was cold so this is all we saw of her.
And last but not least, MORE lipstick...
It was a blast. Thanks family who we don't get to see enough! We miss you all already! Even the spiders! :) jk. Not those.
